We required an overall picture of a specific business line within our marketplace and a confidential on-going approach to be made to certain players within this market. As a firm, Newton were able to provide us with information that we would otherwise not have been able to source. This project proved to be an extremely profitable research exercise. We now have a comprehensive overview of our competitors as well as an understanding of candidates' specific skills, talents and motivators within this market sector - all very valuable information. This is going to be an ongoing project for us, both in this area, as well as in a number of our other business lines.

Talented individuals can be difficult to source simply by dint of the fact that market perceptions can prove a false image. We provided Newton Research with the brief to identify individuals in the market that matched our own recruitment brief, to make and maintain contact with them, and to update us with their findings. This assistance was an invaluable useful tool in identifying, and attracting, the calibre of fee-earners our clients' require. We were able to "re-educate" many of the talent pool in terms of the work/life balance we can provide, and we were therefore able to overcome many of the obstacles that we had otherwise experienced through a straightforward "contingent" or "search" methodology.
